Dear dad

I love you so much and thank you for the last minute message. I had the opportunity to go to the temple today. It is always such an amazing experience to go into the house of the Lord. I actually put Jared’s name on the prayer roll and I also put Grandma Brown’s name on as well.

We have 2 [baptisms] that are going to happen this month - Matui and also Amol. Alf and Joan have been pushed to next month so that they can come to church more.

Thank you so much for the letter
I love you tons

Dear Elder Burns (Zach),

It's great to read your letters from Down Under! Your dad posts them on their blog and puts a link to them on Facebook so we can read them, too.

Glad to hear your'e doing well and loving the work! What's not to like, right?

My Aunt and Uncle served in Australia and have been home for probably aboout a year now. Sonds like a great place. I've always wanted to go there. Gabe says, "Be careful of the funnel spiders in Australia!" He's a pretty good authority when it comes to arachnids. Beware of the "dingos' too (that's a universally true principle in any mission!).

Glad to hear that you're loving it. You'll love training. It's great to be sort of the one in charge. It really brings it home that it is now up to you (and the Spirit, of course) to make good things happen. Prayer, of course, is key. But don't ever get to busy that you overlook the power of prayer -- and then pausing to hear the answers and inspiration.

Well, thanks to the excuse to sorta re-live my mission in a way. Great memories!

Take care! We're praying for you all the time!

PS - I was in Dominoes the other day, and it made me think of you (but you weren't there). Didin't seem quite right...then I read your letters and thought, "OK, now it feels just right," because you are exactly where you're supposed to be right now. Isn't that a great feeling to know that!
